
Emirgan park is one of the biggest parks in Istanbul, famous for its abundant, brightly coloured tulipes and its three small pavilions. It dates back to Byzantine times and it contains three former Ottoman pavilions used as restaurants now. It is located in the Sariyer part of Istanbul, in the beautiful suburb of Emirgan, and it overlooks the Bosphorus. It’s a perfect place to spend a relaxing day with your family or friends. You can enjoy nature and breath fresh air with its variety of pine, umbrella pine, cypress, fir, willow and lime trees, and its beautiful lake, which attracks various birds. It also contains many terraces with beautiful views of the Bosphorus, ideal for taking beautiful pictures. In adittion to that, there are jogging and walking tracks, kids playgrounds, areas for picnics, and three lively restaurants & cafes housed in the 19th century mansions/pavilions. Every april, it takes part in the Annual Tulip Festival, which lasts three weeks. Put simply, Emirgan Park is ideal for relaxing, enjoying nature, spending pleasant time with friends or family.
